Choosing the Right Vacuum for Your Floor Type!
When selecting a vacuum, it’s important to match the head tool with your flooring type for optimal performance and care. Here’s a breakdown of the recommended tools for different floor types:
Hard Floor to Area Rugs
For homes with hard floors and area rugs, a Combination Tool or Turbo Head is ideal. Since these surfaces don’t require intense suction, the Combination Tool can easily switch between bare floors and area rugs, while the Turbo Head, with its brush powered by the vacuum’s suction, offers light carpet agitation for dust and debris.Hard Floor to Low Pile Carpets
Low-pile or more Plush carpets need a bit more power to lift dirt effectively. A Turbo Head works well for low-pile carpets, though for better results, an Electric Power Head may be preferred. Height adjustment isn’t necessary for low pile but can optimize cleaning.Hard Floor to Higher Pile Carpets
For high-pile carpets, an Electric Power Head is essential. Equipped with a motorized brush roller, it provides deep cleaning to penetrate thick carpets. Height adjustment is highly recommended to match the carpet’s depth for a thorough clean.
Tool Overview:
- Combination Tool: A basic head without a rotating brush, allowing for easy transitions between hard floors and area rugs.
- Turbo Head: Features a rotating brush powered by suction, ideal for light carpet cleaning. Note that performance may vary depending on carpet type and vacuum suction.
- Electric Power Head: Powered by an electric motor, this tool provides the strongest agitation, making it effective on all carpet types and particularly powerful for deep cleaning high-pile carpets when paired with hight adjustment.
